Team Lead - Night Shift (6 P.M. - 6 A.M.)

Schedule based on a 2-2-3 pattern, alternating weekends.

What you’ll do: 

  • Lead by example with respect to all company policies and procedures relevant to your role 

  • Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated tasks. 

  • Enforce all safety and quality processing procedures. 

  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with company policies. 

  • Investigate and report all incidents (accidents, poor performance, kit shortages, kitting errors, excessive scrap) 

  • Enable effective communications between management and operators.  

  • Evaluate new employees and coach existing employees.  

  • Suggest and implement cost-saving ideas. 

  • Plan work schedule to be performed during a given day or week, by several employees within their area of responsibility and ensure that work performed is in compliance with specifications. 

  • Effectively direct and work with Line or Process team members. 

  • Ensure all members within team perform according to attendance and break policies. 

  • Identify, coordinate, lead, and perform value added work needed across the farm in event process you are responsible for is completed for the day or equipment is down. 

  • Instruct and train team members in standard operating procedures (SOP’s) 

  • Observe machinery operation to detect malfunctions and report problems to maintenance for repair. 

  • Promotes 5S compliance by ensuring that all work areas are clean, orderly and labeled. 

  • Document all employee reports and prepare all necessary paperwork including accident reports. 

  • Complete production reports as required. 

  • Provide feedback on team member performance/non-performance to Department/Area Supervisor 

  • All other tasks assigned by your supervisor.  

What you’ll bring: 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.       

  • Experience in Food Manufacturing helpful.  

  • Must be able to communicate effectively.  

  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak basic English (required).  

  • Must be able to work in a temperature ranging from 30F - 90F.  

  • Availability to work weekends is a must.  

  • Ability to respect and maintain confidential information.  

  • Ability to work within a team environment.  

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30 lbs.  

  • Must be able to drive electric forklift/pallet jack after training.  

  • Must be able to work independently and within a team.  

  • Must be detailed oriented and organized.  

  • Must have good basic math skills.  

  • Bilingual (Spanish)

In accordance with organizational protocol, employees will at times be required to fill absences in the operation process that are equal to or lower than their positional hierarchy. Additionally, if an employee is absent, the role of the absent employee is to be completed by their immediate superior.
