Job Description - Sales & Marketing Manager/ Senior Manager (depending on experience)

We now need someone special who can apply their experience in Sales & Marketing to help us grow. Must be passionate about food and making a difference with an insatiable curiosity about brands and connecting with consumers.

You are:

 

  • A professional with 5+ years of relevant grocery retail experience in Sales, Account Management, Category Management, and Merchandising - preferably with CPG food experience and ideally with fresh produce know-how.
  • A proven track-record of developing annual plans and forecasts and working closely with our customers to meet sales goals and execute in-store programs including demos.
  • The passion, energy and interpersonal skills to build exceptional customer relationships and share the exciting AeroFarms story.
  • The ability to travel and represent the company and brand at both consumer and industry trade events and be our brand champion.
  • A history of problem-solving, project management, and working across functions including Operations to drive execution with the cognitive ability to think of solutions that others hadn’t considered.
  • Product management background to understand competitive landscape and how to position product offering and identify new product opportunities.
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems for sales reporting and customer management.
  • Experience with Value Added Selling and building and managing Sales and Customer Service Teams.
  • The analytical skills to assess industry trends, customer and product performance and recommend strategies to optimize volume, revenue, and margin contribution. Number cruncher at heart.  
  • The agility to work in a constantly changing environment while simultaneously being a positive agent for change. The willingness to pitch in wherever critical needs arise.
  • A level of organization and attention to detail that is envied by others and you have used your abilities to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Serious Microsoft Office skills for presentations that to help tell compelling stories to drive our business.
  • Car to travel for market audits and events and ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds for set up of events. Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed because we want to connect with our consumers.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or work experience because you need to hit the ground running.

You may also be:

 

  • A foodie with a background in restaurant/hospitality because food and customer experience really matters.
  • Well-versed with Nielsen/IRI and other syndicated data.
  • A digital marketer with skills in social media, content management, email, and inbound marketing to be smart and efficient with connecting our audience.
